Thames Reach has appointed Stephen Howard, a former
Chief Executive at two FTSE 250 Index-listed companies and at a leading civil
society network, as Chair of its Board of Trustees.
Stephen was Group Chief Executive at Cookson Group
PLC and Novar PLC between 1997 and 2005 and then took charge at Business in the
Community in 2005 before retiring in September 2016.
Thames Reach Chief Executive, Jeremy Swain, said:

following a competitive recruitment process that included not only an interview
with representatives from the Board, but with Thames Reach service users too.
“He brings a rich mix of experience gained from
many years of leading companies in the corporate sector and, more recently,
through being Chief Executive of one of the country’s most prominent civil
society networks, Business in the Community.
“Stephen’s long standing commitment to tackling
homelessness and great track record in helping people facing disadvantage to
find work gives us great confidence that, under his stewardship, Thames Reach
can help even more people transform their lives for the better.”
