A busy branch of Waitrose at Highbury Corner has raised £178
in support of Thames Reach.
The money was raised as part of the shop’s Community Matters
scheme, where customers are able to choose one of three nominated local
charities to support each month.
Maria Maloy, Waitrose staff member and Community Matters
representative, said: “The staff and customers
of Waitrose Highbury Corner are pleased to be able to support the work of
Thames Reach in ending street homelessness.”
Milton Bevan, Thames Reach’s fundraising manager, said: “We
have been very fortunate to have the support of the Highbury Corner branch of
Waitrose, who have selected Thames Reach as a local charity on a number of
