Thames Reach won two categories in the prestigious 2007 London Excellence Awards which recognise world-class standards. The charity fought off competition from the private and public sector to win both the Leadership and the Innovation & Learning categories.

Artists from across the globe with a history of homelessness are gathering on London’s South Bank this month to exhibit their work, share their experiences and celebrate their achievements. The Ten Feet Away International Art Fair and Festival will involve artists from Thames Reach’s Vision Impossible project.

Social Exclusion Minister Pat McFadden recently visited a Thames Reach project in Southwark, where he met with staff and former homeless people who have been helped by the charity to move forward with their lives. Thames Reach is running a pilot project to help socially excluded adults find and keep a job.

Top ranked charity,

Thames Reach has been ranked the top homelessness charity in the UK by, an independent website that helps people decide where best to donate money. Only a small number of charities receive Top Ranked status, making Thames Reach one of the most transparent in the country.
