Jumpstart is a
free, personalised employment support service designed to help people get back
into work, and is available to anyone living in L&Q supported housing
units, hostels or foyers who is engaged with a support worker or managing agent.
To begin with, a personal action plan is
devised and agreed upon, helping the client to access activities, educational
programmes, training or volunteering suited to them, in order to develop skills
and experience, and work towards the end goal of long term employment.
Accessible programmes include the full
range of Thames Reach employment and resettlement services.
Additional assistance is provided in the
form of: one-to-one sessions; career advice; personalised action plans; and
support with CVs, cover letters, application forms and interview
L & Q Foundation has commissioned
Thames Reach to deliver this service for three years across the London Boroughs
of Lewisham, Greenwich, Lambeth, Southwark, Wandsworth, Newham, Hackney,
Haringey and Waltham Forest.
