Lambeth High Street summer barbecue

Lambeth High Street consists of eight hostel bedrooms and 16 self-contained flats for people who have experienced homelessness and who have been diagnosed with mental illness.

 

Staff work closely with START, a local mental health team which helps and refers street homeless people with severe and enduring mental health problems.


The aim of the project is to help prepare residents for living in independent accommodation within a two-year period.


Staff help residents to develop the tools to stabilise their lives and to recognise the triggers which can lead to them becoming unwell and to gain more control over their llness.
