Deptford Reach

Accessible, local services are a vital way of reaching out to the most vulnerable people in a community.

Deptford Reach community outreach service provides advice and support within communities across Lewisham and Southwark. Our aim is to target people at risk of homelessness and provide casework and support to prevent this from occurring.

Deptford Reach has developed a community partnership model delivering financial and housing advice and support from the premises of local partners within the local community, offering face to face advice. This includes access to drop ins or advice made by appointment. The premises and partners include, foodbanks, health services, drug and alcohol services, community-based settings and faith-based organisations.

Our community outreach project consists of a team of support workers delivering the highest standard of advice and support across these hubs and ensures that referrals routes in and out of local voluntary and community sector organisations.  The Deptford reach service identifies people who are insecurely house, requiring advice and support around housing issues, immigration, debt-management, and employment issues.

Our project provides advice and support by engaging with people at risk of homelessness within the community.  In these settings we can have conversations to understand the underlying causes of why they are having to utilise support services.

Deptford Reach can offer advice and support for the following: Homelessness, Housing,  Tenancy support , Debt, Benefits, Signposting and referrals, Pathways into employment, education, and training, General advice and access to resources
