Thames Reach trustee awarded MBE for services to charity

The award is a recognition of Vasim Ul Haq's outstanding service to charitable boards over the last 40 years

We are proud to share that Vasim Ul Haq, Vice Chair of Thames Reach’s Board of Trustees, will be awarded a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in recognition of his outstanding service to charitable boards over the last 40 years.

Vasim has served on Thames Reach’s Board and the predecessor Bondway board for over 40 years and currently chairs the Finance, Audit and Fundraising Committee. Alongside his role at Thames Reach, he is a Partner at Azets, an accountancy and financial services company, and Chief Executive Officer of Supportive Housing LLP.

Thames Reach Chief Executive Officer, Bill Tidnam said, “Vasim has been a part of Thames Reach, and before that Bondway Housing Association, for as long as I can remember. I’m really grateful for his advice and guidance to the organisation over these many years, and above all to his quiet but deep commitment to our mission of ending street homelessness. This award is well deserved and we wish him well for the future.”
