Thames Reach urges the government to stay focused on delivering its homelessness strategy following the Minister’s resignation

The Government’s role in leading the response to homelessness and in allocating resources to support this response is crucial. We hope that Rushanara Ali’s resignation as homelessness minister does not lead to further delay in the long-anticipated publication of the Government’s homelessness strategy.

This strategy is a vital opportunity to set out a clear and practical path towards ending rough sleeping alongside other forms of homelessness. We look forward to working closely with the government and the future Minister to ensure that the commitments made translate into meaningful, sustainable change in London and across the country.
