Thames Reach project highly commended at the London Homelessness Awards

Our Resettlement Support Team pilot helped people move on from hostels and was highly commended for its impact
We’re pleased to share that our Resettlement Support Team has been highly commended at this year’s London Homelessness Awards.
Earlier in the year, we announced that the pilot had been shortlisted for its work supporting people to move on from hostels into long-term, stable accommodation. Being recognised among such strong and dedicated projects across London is an achievement we’re proud of — and a reflection of the skill and commitment of the team.
The Resettlement Support Team was delivered in partnership with the Greater London Authority and London Councils, working within three hostels to help people take the next step away from emergency accommodation. By creating personalised resettlement plans and linking people with ongoing support, the team helped more residents move on and sustain their tenancies.
We’d like to congratulate this year’s winners:
- Crisis UK – Brent SHPS Refugee Housing & Integration Service
- London Borough of Hackney – Benefits and Homelessness Prevention Service Complex Needs Team
- The Outside Project – LGBTIQ+ Centre and Trans+ Winter Night Shelter
And we also want to recognise the innovative and impactful work of all the shortlisted and commended projects — including the Royal Borough of Greenwich’s Temporary Accommodation Reduction Programme and Haringey Migrant Support Centre’s Migrant Homelessness Response. It’s inspiring to stand alongside so many organisations working towards the same goal: supporting people to build their lives away from homelessness.
