Running the London Marathon for Thames Reach
30 April 2026
Two dedicated Thames Reach supporters took on the London Marathon and raised over £4,000 to help people move away from homelessness
Last Sunday, the streets of London were filled with energy as thousands of runners took on the London Marathon. Among them were two dedicated supporters of Thames Reach, Alice from Dexters and Kate from Bevan Brittan, two organisations that we are very grateful to have as our corporate partners.
Together, they raised over £4,000 to support people facing homelessness.
For Alice, the challenge was even bigger. She completed both the Paris and London marathons in less than two weeks, fundraising for Thames Reach across both races. Reflecting on the experience, she said:
“That was truly one of the best (albeit tough!) experiences of my life, and I want to say a massive thank you.”
Kate also shared what the day meant to her:
“It was such a privilege to be able to run for Thames Reach, and I can’t thank you enough for the opportunity!”
Every mile they ran will help us continue supporting people to move away from homelessness and towards a more stable future. Fundraising efforts like these play a vital role in making sure we can be there for people who need us.
We are incredibly grateful to Alice and Kate for taking on this challenge, and to everyone who supported them along the way.
Get involved
If their story has inspired you, there are plenty of ways to support Thames Reach. Whether it’s through a corporate partnership, running, walking or creating your own challenge, every effort helps us continue our work across London.
