Thames Reach believes that everyone should have a decent home, build supportive relationships and lead fulfilling lives. We are looking for a Facilities Manager who embodies our ethos and values and has good commercial awareness to run and develop our community buildings.

About the Role

You will be responsible three community/office facilities:

-The Employment Academy (Southwark): an historic Grade II listed building, a community hub used by Thames Reach’s Employment & Skills team and central service, community organisations and members of the public.

-Elmfield and Hudson House (Lambeth): providing office and resource space to community organisations.

-Vital Business Centre (Westminster): a hot desking space for micro – businesses and office space for Thames Reach’s outreach teams

The purpose of the role is to advertise and promote these facilities in order to maximise income and ensure they are run and managed to a high standard.  Tasks include:

-Managing reception staff and volunteers

-Advertising and promoting office spaces for ad-hoc hire and long-term tenants

– Agreeing terms & conditions of lease with tenants

-Leading on event bookings

-Providing customer service for our office tenants

-Ensuring Health & Safety compliance

-Arranging repairs and long-term maintenance

-Maintaining effective administrative procedures

Successful candidates will demonstrate:

-Ideas for advertising and promoting the facilities

-Ability to work with a range of people from members of the public to contractors

-Awareness of Health & Safety standards

-Willingness to learn

-Ability to use and improve systems

-Strong time management and organisational skills

-Confidence in working autonomously and managing a team
