Housing Specialist Worker

Do you want to make a difference to people’s lives?

Are you highly motivated and looking for a challenge?

At Thames Reach we are driven and committed to helping homeless and vulnerable people to live in decent homes, build supportive relationships and lead fulfilling lives. Our vision is to end street homelessness and our aim is to achieve the highest standards and effectiveness in service delivery to vulnerable people.

We are currently looking for a housing specialist worker to work within the Integrated Personalised Support Alliance (IPSA). An innovative programme where Thames Reach, Certitude, South London and Maudsley NHS Trust and Lambeth Council work together to improve outcomes for people with mental health issues and support efficiencies.

The role will involve supporting people to move through the mental health housing pathway by identifying move-on options, building links with private rented landlords and other accommodation providers, and working with people to access suitable accommodation. This is a one year fixed term opportunity

The post holder will:

Be able to work closely with landlords and housing providers

Have knowledge and understanding of the barriers faced by people with mental health issues

Be able to work closely with our strategic partners

This is an exciting opportunity as the post holder will be able to work alongside clinical and social care colleagues to support personalised support packages for people who move on to mainstream housing.

Thames Reach is committed to achieving a diverse workforce that reflects the communities we serve. We value, respect, and celebrate diversity. We welcome and encourage applicants from all sections of the community regardless of their history of homelessness, sex, race, disability, age, sexual orientation, or religious belief.
