Thames Reach Greenwich provides person centered support to adults who have complex needs including a history of rough sleeping, offending and substance misuse issues.  Support is provided to 37 tenants in high quality accommodation across six schemes within the borough.  One of the schemes is an assessment centre which is staffed 24 hours a day; support staff from 8am to 8pm and a concierge service at other times.

The scheme provides access into differing levels of supported accommodation options and a pathway approach, including specialist accommodation for people undergoing and completing substance use treatment. This service is recovery focused supporting both complex and often chaotic service users.

Objectives include:

-Reduction and cessation of offending behaviour

-Reduction of illicit drug use, stabilisation on substitute medication, progression towards becoming drug free.

-Engagement with ETE resources and other community services

-Development of individuals independence confidence and resilience

-Move-on to appropriate and sustainable long term housing

The Lead Manager will be responsible for managing a team of 7 support staff including a trainee. The Lead Manager will report to the Supported Housing Area Manager.

The Lead Manager will manage and support staff to:

-Assess, develop and deliver support planning, ensuring accurate and timely recording of interventions.

-Support and facilitate group work and activities for clients such as tenant meetings, life skills workshops & peer mentoring.

-Complete health and safety and other housing management tasks

-Support the induction and training of relief staff, volunteers & peer mentors

-Work collaboratively with partner agencies to ensure that clients are supported to achieve goals established through the assessment and support planning process.

They will be a member of the Supported Housing Management Team and will lead staff in their contribution to Thames Reach achieving the highest standards and effectiveness in service delivery to rough sleepers and other vulnerable people needing support. They will:

-Support the mission and objectives of Thames Reach by the skilled leadership and management of a high quality and effective team within an operating environment which is complex and changing.

-Contribute to and implement the team’s aims and objectives, work plans, operational policies and procedures in such a way that they contribute to the mission of Thames Reach and deliver on business plan objectives.

-Co-ordinate all activities within the team effectively and maintain Thames Reach standards in relation to service users/internal customers and other stakeholders alike.
