At Thames Reach we are driven and committed to helping homeless and vulnerable people to live in decent homes, build supportive relationships and lead fulfilling lives. Our vision is to end street homelessness and our aim is to achieve the highest standards and effectiveness in service delivery to vulnerable people.
We are looking for an organised, motivated and engaged Lead Manager for the our Croydon Reach Street Outreach and Resettlement Team, supporting both new and more complex rough sleepers to move away from the streets and to access and sustain accommodation and support.
This is a great opportunity to move into managing a busy, high profile frontline services vital to efforts to reduce rough sleeping in busy London borough.
Your innovative management of this service will influence the future of service provision across the borough and you’ll be able to recognise and confidently talk about best practise and its results to funders and other stakeholders.
You will be responsible for directly managing some Staff and overseeing the management of others.
You will ensure the finances of the service are well managed and it is compliant with all relevant HR policies and legislation.
You will be responsible for managing the services performance against its contract, monitoring and regularly reporting to funders on performance in meeting it’s targets. This will require you to be outcome focussed and able to foster a culture of high performance and continual striving to improve upon successes throughout your team.
Our Outreach services are supported by a large number of volunteers alongside partner agencies such as the Home Office Immigration Control and Enforcement teams; the Police; Drug & Alcohol support agencies; Counselling support agencies and Mental Health support services.
You’ll take the lead in developing and managing these partnerships and forming positive relationships with key stakeholders – The Local Authority, Crisis, accommodation providers and working with the borough to increase and improve options for our rough sleeping clients. Once established you will be responsible for supporting workers to maintain these key relationships.
