We are looking for an organised, motivated and engaged Senior Practitioner for our London Street Rescue service. LSR is funded by the Mayor of London, working pan-London and providing casework management to a cohort of rough sleepers who are living on the streets and establishing tasking and care plan meetings across areas we work in.
The Senior Practitioner will help lead the team ensuring we meet the targets set by our funders and to maintain and strengthen our relationships with our stakeholders and partners. You will collate, analyse and interpret statistics and information to demonstrate the achievements of the service.
This is a great opportunity for a candidate with experience of working with rough sleepers to move into a busy, exciting frontline service vital to efforts to reduced rough sleeping across London.
At Thames Reach we are committed to helping homeless and vulnerable people to live in decent homes, build supportive relationships and lead fulfilling lives. Our vision is to end street homelessness and our aim is to achieve the highest standards and effectiveness in delivering services to vulnerable people.
The Senior Practitioner will be responsible for:
- Management and supervision of frontline workers.
- Ensuring data and information on the service is collated and regularly reported back to its funders and other stakeholders.
- Attending relevant monitoring meetings.
- Chairing case work management meetings
- Supporting the lead manager in ensuring the effective operational management of the service.
The successful candidate will have existing knowledge and experience of working with homeless people. You will need to be well organised, able to work under your own initiative and motivate others and have strong communication skills enabling you to engage with complex rough sleepers and to talk confidently about the service to partners.
As we work in partnership with enforcement agencies such as the Police and local authority enforcement teams, you’ll be comfortable doing this and be able to speak to others about the benefits of this joint working approach.
Experience of managing staff is not required for this post but you will need to demonstrate the ability to become an effective manager with training and support.
If you have any questions about this role please contact email@example.com
As well as a great working environment we also offer:
-Support to develop your leadership and strategic skills.
-Learning and development opportunities including Tuition Aid and management training.
6.5% non-contributory pension
-29 days holiday.
