As part of the response to COVID-19, a coordinated approach to support people away from homelessness is being implemented. Thames Reach are looking to quickly recruit relief workers to support our services during this time
We are currently looking for sessional staff to work across a variety of projects within Thames Reach. This will include night and day shifts in accommodation services, welfare checks to vulnerable people’s homes in the community, and street outreach shifts supporting rough sleepers to move into accommodation.
Sessional staff are an important part of our organisational teams, providing greater flexibility in how we can respond and ensure we can provide effective services at all times. As a sessional worker, the hours and frequency of your work will vary. This is in response to the needs of the people we are working with, the development of our services, and changes in staffing.
Such a position may be ideal for you if you wish to work flexibly or if you have other commitments and want to have your work fit around these or you are interested in exploring a career in the homelessness sector.
You will find on our website, role descriptions for our Support Workers. Expectations for our sessional staff are consistent with these job descriptions.
You will have:
– Good communication skills
– Good administration and IT skills.
– Flexibility to work late, early, weekend and night shifts.
– Sensible approach to problems and collaborative working.
– Ability to work on your own and with a team.
– Commitment to safe working practice
– A sensible approach to risk management.
Please find the role profile attached below. We will be holding regular video interviews for sessional staff, and welcome applications at all times. You can download and return the completed application form to email@example.com.
Alternatively, we are also accepting CVs for these positions, so please do send your CV, along with a cover letter (attached to your CV), explaining how you are a good fit for the role to firstname.lastname@example.org
