Housing First is an exciting new project, which supports some of the most complex and long term rough sleepers in Croydon into their own, independent accommodation, and builds a unique support package around each individual. Working in partnership with Croydon Council and other agencies, as a Support Worker, you will play a central role in supporting individuals to live independent, and fulfilling lives, and motivating them to reach their full potential.

We are currently recruiting for a Support Worker to join our innovative and exciting new service.

As a Support Worker you will:

-Build and maintain positive, trusting relationships with individuals that have a history of rough sleeping or insecure housing

-Support individuals to move into their own, independent accommodation, and to make it a home. You will work closely with landlords and housing providers to help individuals to understand and sustain their tenancies

-Work in partnership with key agencies, supporting individuals to access support services, community resources, and to feel a part of their local community

-Empower individuals take an active role in developing their own personalised support plans, and motivating them to achieve their goals and aspirations

-Develop a detailed understanding of the Housing First model – this is a great opportunity to gain an in-depth knowledge of this innovative and exciting new model of housing which is currently growing in popularity in the UK.
