Thames Reach’s Tackling Multiple Disadvantage (TMD) project is a partnership with Crisis, St Mungo’s and Mind in the City, Hackney & Waltham Forest. TMD is a Big Lottery Fund and European Social Fund funded project supporting people with complex and multiple needs into employment across North, East and West London.

The post-holder will:

Build effective working relationships with homeless people, assessing their particular needs
Develop links with the agencies working with homeless people, particular gatekeepers, providers of temporary accommodation and outreach services
Provide coaching to improve work readiness
Support people who were economically inactive into job-search
Support people into education or training
Work with the Job Broker to support people into suitable employment opportunities

The successful applicant will be part of Thames Reach’s Employment team. They will continue the project’s work in Greenwich and Brent and expand the project into other North, East and West London boroughs. Thames Reach recognises that education, training and employment are key factors in supporting homeless people back to independent living. We are looking to recruit someone who is enthusiastic and eager to support homeless people with their employability needs
