Margaret Malcolm
Interim Chair, Thames Reach Housing Board of Trustees
Margaret recently retired, having been director of her own company, Indigo Pearl Consulting Ltd, from 2005-2020, providing interim management and consultancy services in the charitable sector. Prior to becoming a consultant, she was chief executive at three charities over 15 years, and has 10 years’ experience in local government. As a consultant, she undertook various assignments as an interim CEO at six charities – three national and three London-based – as well as various assignments facilitating mergers, helping with organisational reviews and restructures, business planning, and providing support at board and senior management. Margaret has also held several board directorships in a voluntary capacity.
Margaret’s experience within the charitable sector covers: homelessness and housing; mental health; learning disabilities; substance use; social enterprise; special needs education; campaigning in relation to autistic children and long-term neurological conditions.
