PLACE – Pan London Accommodation & Community Engagement

Securing independent, long term accommodation is vital to moving on from homelessness

PLACE works with people who have been staying in temporary accommodation and have been referred to Thames Reach by a local authority, as well as with people who have been staying in emergency accommodation set up to house homeless people during the coronavirus crisis.

The service helps people to access good quality private rented accommodation across London, providing initial support to help people settle in, as well as helping them to plan for their long term future. Some of the people using the service may have never held a tenancy before, so the team help them to understand their rights and responsibilities.

Once direct support ends people are still able to keep in touch and contact the team for additional help, and will also receive a progress check up every three months.
