Tenancy Sustainment Team
Getting the keys to a new home is a significant moment in anyone’s life, but especially so if you’ve spent time sleeping rough on the streets.
The Thames Reach Tenancy Sustainment Team works across 16 London boroughs, helping former rough sleepers to manage the transition away from the street or hostel living into more independent accommodation and then enable them to rebuild their lives.
Staff provide tailored support until the client is able to live more independently, helping them to build confidence, acquire living skills and access training and employment. They then remain available should the client require further help. They also work to improve the client’s general health and wellbeing, helping them to maintain relationships and access appropriate health and care services.
In due course and, where appropriate, clients are helped to move on into more suitable accommodation, such as general needs social housing or private rented sector accommodation.
