Information, Advice and Guidance
Taking the first step on the journey towards finding work can be daunting. When accessing new services for the first time, it can be hard to know where to start.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we have made changes to the way the Information Advice and Guidance (IAG) service is delivered. In line with social distancing guidelines, all face-to-face work has been suspended and support is now being delivered by phone and email.
We continue to help clients to access online training and to undertake a range of accredited and non-accredited courses.
For those who are interested in moving into employment we are supporting them with CV development, job search and online applications. In addition, we offer guidance around telephone and online interviewing and can direct people to further resources that help to build confidence and understanding of how job recruitment works.
An increase in volunteering opportunities has opened up a range of opportunities to gain valuable knowledge and skills, in preparation for future employment. It also provides much needed support to local community organisations and charities responding to the ongoing pandemic. We have up-to-date information on options that are available and how to access these.
At a time like this we realise that maintaining a sense of wellbeing can be a real challenge. We can provide practical advice and links to online resources that can help us to manage our mental and physical health and feel more connected to our community.
The service opening times are as follows:
Mon – Fri: 10.00am-4.00pm.
